Kroger offers a service called Pickup, where you order groceries online, select a pickup time, and retrieve them at the store without leaving your vehicle.

To place an order with Kroger, you need to register or log in to your Kroger.com account. Once you’ve logged in, you can browse for the items you want to purchase and add them to your cart. During the ordering process, you’ll be asked to choose a pickup time and location.

When it’s time to pick up your order, drive to the Online Ordering drive-through and look for the signs. An Associate will help you and load your groceries into your car. Then, you can drive away with your groceries. It’s that easy!

How does Kroger Pickup work?

To start shopping, you need to sign in or create an account. Once you are logged in, please enter your zip code and select “pickup” as your shopping process. Choose the store where you would like to pick up your order. Then, you can either use the “Start My Cart” feature or the search function to find the items you require to order easily. If you need to make any specific requests, you can add special instructions such as “green bananas only” or allow substitutions. Finally, click on the shopping cart icon to review your selections before checking out.

Checkout

When you are ready to place an order, please choose the “Check Out Pickup Items” option. You can select the date and time for your pickup (you can order up to seven days in advance). Do not forget to provide your mobile number for text updates, including substitutions and order status notifications. Finally, choose your preferred payment method (debit, credit or SNAP EBT card) and submit your order. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an email or text with your order details.

At Kroger, our associates undergo training to select the freshest meat, seafood and produce items for your order, just as you would choose for yourself. In case an item you ordered is not available, we offer substitutions with an item that closely matches your initial request, provided you have authorized substitutions.

Your chosen pickup time slot is a one-hour window. To receive the quickest service possible, please use the app to notify us when you are less than 15 minutes away. Upon arrival, park your vehicle in the designated parking spots at your scheduled time and follow the instructions on the sign. Our team will then load your groceries into your car, so there is no need for you to step out of your vehicle. You will receive a digital receipt for your order online or in the app. Start Shopping

Kroger pickup hours

The usual Kroger pickup hours are 7 am to 9 pm, seven days a week. However, the hours may vary depending on the location. You can check the local store listing for more details. In case you are unable to pick up your order on the scheduled date, the items in your order will be restocked in the store. Therefore, you’ll need to place your order again.

FAQs

How do I reserve a time slot and shop for Pickup?

To start, please sign in to your digital account. We have already selected a method for you to receive your groceries. If it is not already set to Pickup and the store you want, please enter the zip code of the store where you wish to collect your groceries. Then, click on Change Store next to the Pickup method, and choose the store where you would like to pick up your order. Once you have done that, you can start shopping. When you’re ready to check out, go to your cart. During the checkout process, you will be prompted to schedule your Pickup order by selecting a time slot.

Can I use government benefits such as SNAP EBT to pay for my order?

It is now possible to use SNAP EBT payments for pickup orders at all pickup locations except Mariano’s. When placing your pickup order, select the “SNAP EBT at Pickup” option under Payment. Upon reaching the pickup location, swipe your EBT Card to complete the order. Please note that WIC is not currently accepted.

How do I pay for my order?

After adding items to your cart, you can proceed to checkout. At this point, you will be prompted to enter your payment information. Please note that we can only accept credit or debit cards at this time and cannot accept cash, check, or gift cards. However, government benefits such as SNAP EBT are now accepted at all pickup locations (excluding Marianos).

During checkout, you will see an estimated total, which your bank or financial institution will hold in your account for 3 to 7 business days. Please keep in mind that the final price may change due to coupons, substitutions, taxes (if applicable), or weighted items.

When you arrive to pick up your order, please make sure to bring the form of payment you used online, as well as a backup credit or debit card. If your order contains alcohol, you will also need to bring a government-issued ID.

How do I cancel an existing order?

If you wish to cancel an order that is still pending, please log in to your account and visit the “My Purchases” section. From there, choose the order that you want to cancel and click on the “Cancel” button.
